Holiday Gift Guide For Guys (Look, I’m on TV!)

We’re going live in 3…2…and…

It was a near disaster when I was on camera the other morning to talk about my holiday gift guide picks for the season on FOX in Baltimore. They had my segment down as “The Holiday Gift Guide For Guys” and meanwhile, I came in to talk about makeup from Mally, Katy Perry’s new perfume and even a John Frieda hair air brush from Conair.

Luckily, just a minute before we went on air we figured this out and somehow improvised. I think it worked out anyway—probably because I had so much fun talking about (and smelling!) these products in the segment. My only regret is that we ran out of time before I got to talk about one of the most luxurious gifts for anyone, which is the Krigler Oud Sumptuous 75213 fragrance that was worn by Coco Chanel, Audrey Hepburn, JFK and Grace Kelly just to name a few.

Check it out my appearance and find out where to buy all of the products in it below.

2 Ways Shop With Me This Week!

Whether you’re guilty of being in need of last minute holiday shopping OR you just need to treat yourself to something after a long year, you’re going to want to shop with me this week.

Here are two ways that you can get some unique finds and hang with me at the same time.

Liz Teich of DearAndi on PoshMark App

1. Posh Party with me!

You may have heard me wax poetically about my obsession with the Poshmark App, but in case you haven’t, it’s my favorite way to make sure that both my closet and items I’ve saved from photoshoots stay fresh.

Poshmark just got “up close and stylish” with me on their site, so check out why I love Poshmark so much and more about me.

Then you’re going to want to download the FREE app from iTunes and start selling from your own closet. Why not sell them to someone who will give them a good home to make room for pieces you’ll actually wear…and especially when it’s as easy as snapping a photo with your phone!

Speaking of which, tonight is the perfect time to try it out because Poshmark is letting me co-host a “Posh Party.” Log onto the app and see my picks to shop from.

Fashionable Things To Do This Weekend

Not invited to any holiday parties this weekend and not really festive enough for Santacon?

Don’t be a Grinch. Here are some happenings that you may want to check out if you’re in the NYC area this weekend and one for you no matter where in the world you may be.

Mavi Smith Street_Opening_Brooklyn

I was asked to share with you the opening of a new store, which I’m excited about not only because it happens to be in my ‘hood and because this brand brings back some nostalgia for me. I remember being a teenager and saving all of my baby-sitting money to buy a coveted pair of Mavi Jeans (which I probably still got on sale).

Now if you happen to be in the Brooklyn area this Saturday, you don’t have to save up your baby-sitting money because Mavi is offering a 20% off discount to customers and you can also enter for a chance to win a free pair of jeans! Come shop with me over mimosas and beer and enjoy the SoHo of Brooklyn that is called Cobble Hill.

What: Launch Event for Mavi’s Smith Street Store Location
Where: 90 Smith Street, Brooklyn, NY 11201
When: Saturday, December 14, 12:00pm – 5:00pm

If you’re also in the NYC area, you’re going to want to have tea time with the Downton Abbey tea truck. You can warm up and get transported to England in the 20th century with high tea and biscuits served by characters dressed from the era.
What: Downton Abbey Tea Truck
Where: Broadway between 66th and 67th St. (Westside of Manhattan)
Stop by the Tisch WNET Studios (66th St. & Broadway) between 11am – 7pm for an all-day marathon screening of Downton Abbey Season 3. Get caught up on all the drama before Season 4′s January 5th premiere.

If you can’t make it over to NYC this weekend, don’t fret—I haven’t forgotten about you. This weekend you’ll want to download the 12 Days of Gifts app from Apple and you will get free downloads of tunes, books, apps and even movies ever day for 12 days. It’s like Apple is thanking you this holiday for being dependent on their products.
What: 12 Days of Christmas app – *FREE* downloads every day from Apple

When: Download the app now and get your downloads on 12/26 – 1/6

Gift Ideas From Your Favorite Stylist & Fashion Expert

Learnvest Gift Guide

When freelance writer and former editor at Seventeen Magazine, Jane Bianchi, approached me to share my 3 gift ideas for the fashionista, I was thrilled to accept the challenge. Then I realized I could ONLY pick 3 items and they had to be at $25, $50, and $100 price points.

Man, was that a challenge.

My best advice when giving this holiday is to give a gift that the person receiving would never splurge the money on, but will use all of the time.

Despite being a fashion stylist, I actually rarely give the gift of clothing unless I know for certain the person will love it. It’s always tricky when dealing with what you think is someone’s personal style and their fit.

Check out my one-size-fits-all gift picks for this season, as well as other industry experts picked in this article.
